1. I’ve installed the app but don’t have a program ID, where can I get this?  

Your program ID will be provided once you have signed up to the Webgains network here as an advertiser and will be included in the Welcome Email sent from your integration manager.   

2. How do I sign up to the Webgains network to get my program ID?   

To get a Webgains programme ID you must first join the Webgains Network as an Advertiser. To do this please click here and complete the form.  

3. What is this app adding to my site?  

The Webgains app enables our conversion tracking. This includes a piece of code that is added to all pages of your site which sets our cookie, and also our conversion tracking code which sits on the order confirmation page of your site. This allows us to track sales back into the Webgains platform, with the corresponding order details.  

4. What does the Webgains tracking do?  

The purpose of the Webgains conversion tracking is to track and report sales that have been made on an advertiser’s website via an affiliate tracking link, so that they can then be awarded the agreed commission on the Webgains program.  

5. I want to offer more than one commission type, how can I do this?

6. How do I pay commission on shipping and VAT?  

The plugin calculates the value of a sale with VAT and shipping deducted. If you would like a different configuration, please contact your integration manager to discuss alternate solutions.  

7. What data am I sharing with Webgains through the plugin?   

When installing our app, you are presented with privacy and permission details to agree on what our app can access and do. You will need to agree to this before continuing with the installation.  

Our Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.  

8. How can I delete the app and remove my data?    

Deleting the app from your store will remove the tracking connection to Webgains and stop any further communication of data. Please note that this will not deactivate your Webgains program.  

9. When will the app be translated for other countries?    

The app is available in all countries and in the following six languages – English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and French.
