Welcome could you please introduce yourselves?
Hi I’m Jordana Widt an Executive Assistant at Immediate Media.
And I’m Sophie Mills-Thomas and I’m a Sales Representative here at Immediate.
Nice to meet you both! Could you tell us more about Immediate and your core business values?
Immediate is the special interest content and platform company. Our fast-growing, multi-platform media business is home to over 1,400 people across eight divisions.
Our business values can be summed up in three words: Content. Passion. Engagement. Our focus is to help our audiences get the most out of the things they love, whatever they spend their time and energy on.
Sounds great, so what are the biggest benefits for an advertiser working with your company?
Experience and passion are key factors to the work we do benefiting both our advertisers and clients. We own and operate some of the best-loved brands in the UK. And we only focus on special interest markets, engaging over 26 million passionate consumers each month, offering them world-class content and innovative new products and services.
Can you tell us more about your audience and what types of advertisers do you work best with?
Our audiences are a passionate and engaged generation wealth segment. 83% of our audience is ABC1 who prefer to spend money on quality goods. Segments who have worked well across brands include travel, gardening, and wine.
What makes your business an exciting company?
Immediate Media is always growing. Recently we have acquired an events branch and some new home and lifestyle titles. We are innovative, running everything from small classified sections in our magazines to large scale cross platform campaigns for Lego.
That all sounds great, have you got any exciting plans coming up in the next 12 months?
We are in negotiations with RSPB to implement a rewards scheme to their members. However as with many businesses at this uncertain time, we are taking everything one day at a time.
And what is the most exciting time of year for you as a business?
Definitely Christmas, this is where we see a huge increase of members engaging with the magazine/online content and advertising alike. This heightened engagement gives us an opportunity to run new campaigns.
Where do you think is the Affiliate space heading to in the next year and what are the main market disruptions?
We have seen massive wins and losses in our current schemes. We are seeing home-delivery brands that were overrun with orders are now starting to return to normal and begin marketing campaigns that were paused. Members are continuing to remain loyal to these brands. There is still uncertainty from brands that struggled after the lockdown.
Is there anything else you’d like our customers to know?
We’re more than happy to discuss bespoke advertising opportunities to reach our targeted and engaged audiences.
Thanks all, and lastly what is one fun fact about your business?
We’re in Bristol! We are currently closed due to Covid-19, however when we reopen you are more than welcome to arrange to come and see us face to face in our new office in the centre, equipped with our very own café.
Amazing! We will definitely be popping in when you reopen for a coffee catch up!
